Overlook Lodge

We welcome many groups to enjoy our expansive facilities. The Overlook Lodge is the ideal location for your next camp, retreat, special event, or large-group meeting. The 10,735 square foot Overlook Lodge retreat center at Bedford Camp and Conference Center sits on a bluff overlooking the White River Valley. It is a two level building consisting of a lower level partially built into the side of a bluff, and an upper level with a 700 square foot deck attached. The lodge is comfortable and spacious, featuring a fully functional commercial kitchen, a large but cozy fireplace, and a breathtaking view from the deck.

 

Details: The Overlook Lodge has a large main floor with a large fireplace and open central meeting area with chairs and tables that can accommodate 200 people, an incredible deck overlooking the river, two restrooms, an audio system, a nurses’ station with an AED, and a large kitchen.  The kitchen is incredible! There will be no problem storing your food in the spacious walk-in cooler, two freezers,  standard refrigerator, and large dry storage pantry. Cooking your food will be just as easy with a four oven, sixteen burner gas stove system complete with a deep fryer and griddle. If you get too hot there is a commercial ice machine that makes 500 pounds of ice in 24 hours. Finally, when it is time to clean up everything, there is a commercial grade dishwasher to make the job easy!

 

The Overlook Lodge also has a full basement with foosball tables, two restrooms each with a shower, and plenty of open space for large or small group activities. Finally, the Overlook Lodge has a third floor balcony area which is great for small group activities, or as a staging area for a bridal party.
